(CNN) — The Occupy Wall Street movement may get an infusion of more star power as actor Alec Baldwin said he is headed to join the growing, leaderless protest.

“I wanna go to Zuccotti Park,” Baldwin tweeted from his verified Twitter account Tuesday night, referring to the de facto headquarters and meeting ground for the protests in New York.

A group of approximately 50 demonstrators from Occupy Wall Street showed up at the event–held at Skylight Studios in Manhattan–to protest in front of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who was being honored as a “game changer” by Arianna Huffington’s site.

NEW YORK — Police say they have arrested 24 people at a rally related to the Occupy Wall Street demonstrations in New York City.

The arrests took place Saturday afternoon at a Citibank branch near Manhattan’s Washington Square Park, following an orderly march from the Occupy encampment in the financial district.

The pundits are claiming that Occupy Wall Street lacks a coherent agenda. I have one for them that can be summed up in two words: Rebuild America.

Although Occupy Wall Street’s anger has been targeted at the American plutocracy (a term best defined by Theodore Roosevelt as “government by men very powerful in certain lines and gifted with the ‘money touch,’ but with ideals which in their essence are merely those of so many glorified pawnbrokers”), it would be a mistake to assume, as many right-wingers have done, that this movement is driven by a desire to wage war against a particular class. People are taking to the streets not because they wish to punish the wealthy for being successful, but because the working class is being deprived of the opportunity to achieve similar success.

Maybe it’s wishful thinking, but as the Occupy Wall Street demonstrations gain more traction, we may finally have to address the grotesque economic injustice that has grown so stark in the last few decades.

Lech Walesa, one of the great heroes of our time, has announced that he is coming to Wall Street to support the protestors, though no date is set yet. That’s a big deal, because Walesa is a lot harder to dismiss than a 20-something kid.
